Following this philosophy, INLEAD recently organized Time Warp, a fun activity for its students. The activity which had students from all the current batches in attendance proved to be a breather from their daily study routine and left them with memories to cherish for life.

An air of fun and excitement engulfed the INLEAD campus for two long hours on Thursday as 15 super-fun games unwrapped one after another.  The games which were conceived and fully tried and tested by LEAD faculty, Ms. Priya Bali and Mr. Sumit Chakravarty, were an interesting mix that tested the participant’s concentration, response and intelligence quotient.

'Face the Cookie'

Games like Bit Dicey – which involved balancing three dices on a scale in your mouth and a race to the finish line, tested the participant’s concentration potential in a room full of hooting and cheering crowd. On the other hand, activities like Face the Cookie—which involved moving a cookie placed on your forehead to your mouth using nothing but your facial expressions was a great test of developing quick techniques for different tasks. Various other games like Gemstick- which involved sucking Cadbury gems from a bowl using a straw and then dropping it in a bowl kept on the other end had the audience in splits from start to end.

Time Warp was organized with a vision of adding a sense of competition and enthusiasm as a way of life in students.  The excitement and participation shown by INLEADers was worth a sight and took the momentum of the event to a whole new level. Though it was a competitive activity, INLEADers showed great sense of sportsmanship and encouraged each other to take part in the various games.

The event culminated with the joyful winners receiving their prizes and certificates from Mr. Deepak Sharma - Dean, INLEAD, Ms. Bindu Menon – Faculty, INLEAD, Ms. Parul Sardana – Faculty, INLEAD and Ms. Priya Bali – Faculty, INLEAD.

Overall, the energetic event recharged INLEADers mind and body and added precious memories to their student life album.

Every winter our underprivileged friends take shelter under flyovers, on footpaths, underpass, bus stops & train stations. They face harsh winters on the streets without even basic clothing.

But we can help!

As you unpack your winter grab, spare a thought, and a garment, for those who are not as fortunate. You can deposit the same at INLEAD campus on or before Friday, 5th December 2014.

EMPR Students Responsible for Event Operations at 'HUM HAIN Umeed-e-Kashmir'

The entertainment industry led by the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), the Film and Television Producers Guild and the global media conglomerate Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.(ZEE)  initiated a fund-raiser campaign, “HUMHAIN Umeed-e-Kashmir" to raise funds and awareness for flood stricken Kashmir.

HUM HAIN Umeed-e-Kashmir attempts to work alongside several NGOs, Government Bodies, celebrities and civilians to give the cause a unified voice. The concert included a list of celebrity performers that appeal and urge viewers to donate to key NGOs and specified Disaster Relief Funds in support of the Kashmir relief project.

The campaign’s highlight was the creation of simultaneous live events on ground across New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Jaipur on 18th October with the main event being held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi. INLEAD Event Management and Public Relations students were responsible for Event Operations and crowd management at the IGI stadium.

HUM HAIN-Umeed featured a veritable who’s who: Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Farhan Akhtar, Ranbir Kapoor, Gulzar, Ayushman Khurrana, Sukhwinder Singh, Pritam, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Anupam Kher, Imtiaz Ali, Mukesh Bhatt, Zaheer Khan, Virender Sehwag and many more.

INLEADers Participate in the 7th Edition of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014

On Sunday, 23^rd of November’14 the nation’s capital hosted the 7^th edition of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014 (ADHM). It was Delhi’s largest annual sporting festival.

Procam International announced a number of new initiatives and milestones for the race, making the 2014 edition a more superior running experience. Present at the event at Le Meridian, the Official Hospitality Partner, were representatives from sponsors and event partners.

32,450 individuals participated in Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014 on November 23. Paula Radcliffe, English long-distance runner and the current women’s world record holder in the marathon were the ‘Event Ambassador’ of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014.

The DHL corporate champions had 160 teams, while the Great Delhi Run 18,200 entries. The Senior Citizens’ Run had 1,200 participants, and the Champions with Disability Event 220.

Students of INLEAD were responsible for event operations at the ADHM and they gained great exposure in terms of handling the overall operations of a large scale event like this.

The youngest of individual runners dedicated their time and effort into raising impressive sums were 15-year-old Wayne Andrady, a student of Mount St. Mary's, Delhi, apart from individuals such as Tamana Chona, winner of Dr. Batra's Positive Health Award, who despite her physical limitations is associated with NGO work in whatever capacity possible; business woman and fitness enthusiast Nalina Suresh, and model Sonalika Sahay.

ENT & Dental Camp conducted by Fortis Healthcare at INLEAD

Today, the 21st of November, students of INLEAD had an opportunity to get a Dental and an E.N.T Check-up by leading experts from Fortis Healthcare absolutely free. 

The camp was held in the premises of INLEAD wherein the students were examined for ENT, eye and dental health and were provided counselling. 

The camp was conducted with a help of Doctors, Dr. Atul Mittal – Director ENT and Dr. Rajni- Consultant Dental.  

The students were examined for various dental problems and were given instructions and were advised to maintain good oral hygiene. 

Event Management & PR Students Participate in the ' India Sports Expo 2014'

Sports is a multibillion dollar industry across the globe and a highly respected career option. Sports sector is developing in India and presents exciting career opportunity for youngsters aspiring to excel in sports and individuals associated with sports and allied services. Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports along with Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce &Industry (FICCI) will organize the first edition of India Sports Expo 2014 from 6-8 Nov, 2014 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi.

India Sports 2014 is not only a platform for the Indian Sports Industry to showcase their strength to the Indian and International Sports fraternity but also acts as a catalyst in promoting sports among the youth.

A wide spectrum of Sports Goods, Fitness Equipment, Sports shoes, apparel and Best Sports practices were demonstrated at the event. 

Students pursuing Event Management & Public Relations from INLEAD participated in the event, they were responsible for the overall operations held at the event and they gained great exposure towards the end of the event. 

Dr. Gaurav Thukral - Vice President & Head Business Development, Health Care at Home India Pvt. Ltd @ INLEAD

On 20th October, we had Dr.Gaurav Thukral, Vice President & Head Business Development, Health Care at Home India Pvt. Ltd. speak on Home Based Healthcare.

He addressed students pursuing Healthcare Administration from INLEAD. 

Dr. Thukral discussed with the students the importance of home based healthcare and said that the aim of home based healthcare is to bring quality healthcare along with comfort and convenience to the patient right at their doorstep.

It was an insightful session for the Healthcare Administration students, it helped them broaden their vision and gain better understanding of the industry.

EMPR Students Participate in Direct Dil Se: LIVE Concert by Lucky Ali @ Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon

Direct Dil Se' is a festival with the effort of Alok Nagpal of Rock Castle Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The first edition of the festival in the year 2013 featured best of the Artist from India 

The festival retains its promise to connect hearts with most soulful voices ever heard in our country. Featuring the evergreen "LUCKY ALI" the man who has won hearts all over the world with his husky voice. Students pursuing Event Management & Public Relations were responsible for event operations and production at Kingdom of Dreams, India’s one and only live entertainment destination which celebrated the onset of the festive season with the second edition of Direct Dil Se concert on 27th September 2014. The Direct Dil Se concert celebrating the World Heart Day will set the tone for the Music Festival Season, as numerous others will follow it. 

Retaining its promise to connect hearts with the most soulful voices ever heard in India and across the globe the musical bonanza will bring together artistes Lucky Ali, Kutle Khan & Dhruv Sufi (Coke Studio) and Ashish Chauhan & Gurdeep Mehendi (Fox Traveller Artist) in a musical revelry that promises to be a memorable and unforgettable evening! Lucky Ali, actor, singer-songwriter, musician, composer, record producer and a philanthropist will weave magic with his ballads sung in a silken voice and soft tenor.

Kutle Khan a Coke Studio artiste and a versatile composer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist from the rich and vibrant state of Rajasthan will enthrall the audience with his music full of energy and verve, where he fuses traditional folk sounds with other Indian and Western traditions.

Ashish Chauhan and Gurdeep Mehndi both will create new sounds with a variety of Musical Instruments while the classical knowledge and voice of Gurdeep will render their jugalbandi a totally new colour. The duo is famous for blending Western elements of Rock, Funk, Blues, Jazz with Sufi and Punjabi folk songs. They are known for their work on old and evergreen songs and presenting them in a totally new avatar! Their popular numbers like Jugni, Tutak Tutak, Dama Dam, Bulla and other Sufi and Punjabi and Hindi Folk songs will enrapture the listeners in an evening straight from the heart and mesmerising.

INLEAD’S GOT TALENT 2014 - NAVRASA

INLEAD once again buzzed with some fantastic and cheerful moments at its annual function; INLEAD’S GOT TALENT which was held on 26^th September, 2014 at Epicenter, Gurgaon

The theme of IGT 2014 was NAVRASA, a dance musical illustration celebrating the nine shades of life. 

The preparations began almost a month and a half in advance, the level of enjoyment increased tremendously in the campus. Student pursuing  Event Management & Public Relations were responsible for the overall operations and in the production of the event, in return they gained great exposure in terms of stage set up, backstage operations, artist management so on and so forth.

INLEAD’S GOT TALENT is one such platform wherein students showcase their talent with great zeal. Each performance reflected different rasas as the theme suggested, giving life different hues and depicting various colours of life through acts. 

From shringara to hasya to bhibatsya to rowdra to shaanta to veera to bhaya and karuna to adbhuta all the 9 rasas were well enacted for the equally enthusiastic audience. AT IGT 2014 Students tried to bring a flavor of each of these nine rasas, explaining what each one means and presented it to you through some Indian art form.

The winners were then awarded with prizes by the esteemed jury. It was an extremely tough decision to choose who the winner was. The winners were elated.

INLEADers Attend the WorldDidac India 2014 at Pragati Maidan, Delhi

Worlddidac  is the largest international exhibition for educational products and solutions in Asia Pacific region.

INLEADers Responsible for Event Operations at the National Achievers Conference 2014

Robert Kiyosaki (the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad) and Les Brown (voted one of the top five inspirational speakers of the century) shared the stage for a 2-day National Achievers Conference in Delhi. It was a life-changing event for entrepreneurs, business owners and individuals seeking financial success.

International Business Management Students Visited Mother Dairy on 10th September’14

On 10^th September, students pursuing International Business Management students from INLEAD visited Mother Dairy plant located in Patparganj, New Delhi. Students were exposed to:

1. Organizational orientation
2. Basic functioning of the organization
3. Production process of milk and milk products
4. Demonstration of testing analysis (sample testing)

Students of International Business Management, were taken to Mother Dairy because of its large scale production and distribution network. Mother Dairy based on its large scale is comparable to international standards. It’s an industry which is expanding rapidly in the domestic market.

Mother Dairy as an industry also has a good market share. Students were provided exposure to production management, supply and distribution network, marketing strategy analysis was also shared and discussed with the students.

The visit was highly beneficial for International Business Management students and they gained great insight about the milk industry. 

INLEADers @ the ' India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2014'

India Today Mind Rocks is the country's eagerly awaited youth event which recently rocked Delhiites once again on September 6 at Siri Fort Auditorium, Delhi. It is a forum that allows bright young minds to meet and interact with their favorite icons in an open two-way conversation. This year top politicians, businesspersons, sports personalities and film stars shared their success stories and discussing issues of national interest with the audience.

Students pursuing Event Management& Public Relations from INLEAD were participants at the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2014.

The Mind Rocks was attended by actress Deepika Padukone, singers Yo Yo Honey Singh and Rabbi Shergill, comedian-cum-politician Bhagwant Mann, actor-turned-politician Chirag Paswan, cricketers Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj, Olympic medallist Rajyavardhan SinghRathore, footballer Gouramangi Singh and many more.

 The finale of the event was a live performance by Sufi rocker Rabbi Shergill, who shot to fame with soulful numbers such as Bulla Ki Jana and Challa.

Students of Healthcare Administration Visit Columbia Asia, Gurgaon on 26th August’14

Columbia Asia Hospital located in Palam Vihar, Gurgaon, is a 90 bed multi-specialty facility situated in an upscale locality of the National Capital Region. The hospital began its services in July 2008 and has already become a preferred healthcare service provider for the residents and corporate entities of Gurgaon.

On 26th Aug 2014, INLEAD organized an industry visit for Healthcare Administration  students to Gurgaon branch of Columbia Asia Hospital which is situated in Palam Vihar.

One of the HR team members took the students and introduced them to various departments in the hospital. The hospital offers services like gynecology, ophthalmology, internal medicine, general surgery, ear, nose and throat department, urology, orthopedics, plastic surgery and a few more.

Another HR team member took the students through a short presentation in the end explaining various branches of the hospital present all over the globe, the infrastructure, the staff and services that the hospital provides which was quite beneficial in knowing the hospital inside out.
